Real revenue, on the record

This is what creator apps actually earn.

Not projections. Real money, earned by creators who turned their audience into an app.

in revenue in a single year, from around 450,000 subscribers.

≈ A$8.3M a month

It started as a personal trainer's workout guides. Sweat was sold to iFIT in 2021, and Kayla and co-founder Tobi Pearce bought it back in late 2023. Even after the post-lockdown slump, subscription revenue was still A$61M in the year to May 2023.

Combined with Inspire Fitness, incl. debt

A celebrity's training and meal plans, packaged as an app, became a company private equity wanted to own.

You don't need 13 million followers.

Same model, smaller audience: 100,000 people, 1 in 100 joining at $9.99 a month, is $9,990 in gross revenue every month. Your half, after app store fees, is about $4,246 a month.

Run my numbers
Here's the uncomfortable part

Your audience makes money every day. Most of it isn't going to you.

You did the hard part. Years of content, a real following, people who trust you. But the feed, the platforms and the tools still stand between you and your audience.

Reach down again
Reach is down again.

You don't control the feed. One algorithm change and the people who already follow you stop seeing you.

Rented, not yours
I tried a course platform.

You wanted more than a place to upload videos. You wanted a branded app your audience opens every single day.

Quote: $25k to $119k
I got a quote for an app.

A typical build costs $25k to $119k USD before launch, plus ongoing costs. That's a big bet to make alone.

Give your audience a product they come back to every day. We remove the development bill.

The creators you follow did this already

Three reasons creators think an app isn't for them. All three are wrong.

01Free content sells the app

Your free content is the reason people will pay for your app.

The belief“My audience won't pay for what I already post for free.”

Adriene Mishler built her audience by giving yoga classes away on YouTube. Her app, Find What Feels Good, now holds 900+ yoga videos, and her community pays for it anyway. Free content fills an app instead of competing with it. People pay for structure, a daily routine and a place that's yours.

02Daily use is the test

If people use what you teach every day, it's app material.

The belief“My content isn't app material. I don't even have a program.”

Deliciously Ella started with plant-based recipes. Not a workout plan, not a transformation challenge. Recipes. Her app went on to earn Apple's Editors' Choice. Training, recipes, habits, lessons: anything your audience comes back to daily can be built into an app.

03You bring the audience

You don't need a six-figure budget or a line of code. You need an audience.

The belief“I can't spend $25k to $119k, and I'm not technical.”

Joe Wicks is a coach, not a developer, and The Body Coach app has passed 2.7 million downloads. With Cofoundle, accepted revenue partners pay $0 to build: we fund the agreed build, run the app, and split net app revenue 50/50. You keep creating.

A straight answer to “what's the catch?”

Hi, I'm Nicolò.

I'm from Genoa, based in Dubai, with 12 years of entrepreneurship behind me. Our team of 18 developers brings the design, development and day-to-day app support.

What if we paid for the build, and got paid when the app earns?

That's the whole catch. We're selective, because we're investing our own team's time. For accepted revenue partners, we fund the agreed build and split net app revenue 50/50.

We call it the Cofoundle Model. We fund it. We build it. We run it. You keep creating. We split what it earns.

Want to own the app outright? There's a setup-fee option too. Either way, everything is agreed in writing before we start.

Tell me about your audience and I'll tell you honestly whether an app makes sense for you.

2Ways to build together
Introducing

The Cofoundle Model: we fund, build and run. You create. We split.

  1. 01We do this

    We fund the build.

Design, development, testing and store submission. We agree on the scope around your audience before starting.

  2. 02We do this

    We run the app.

Our team handles hosting, app support and content uploads, with updates and ongoing service agreed together.

  3. 03You do this

    You bring the audience.

Your content, brand and launch to your followers. You run and fund promotion to your community.

  4. 04Together

    We split 50/50.

You keep half of net app revenue. Deductions, payouts and reporting go into the agreement.

Who this is for

We partner with creators who…

You're a fit if you…

  • Have an audience. A social following or an engaged community, in any niche.
  • Teach something people use daily. Training, nutrition, habits, skills or education.
  • Have content or a clear idea. A program, a content library or an app idea.
  • Want income every month. Your expertise as a recurring membership.
  • Will show up for it. Share content, give feedback and promote the app.

Not a fit if you…

  • Won't promote the app to your audience.
  • Won't share content or give feedback during the build.

We bring the app team. The content, feedback and introduction to your audience come from you.

Prefer to own your app outright? Pick the creator-owned option with a setup fee when you apply.

Why Cofoundle

7 reasons creators choose a Cofoundle partnership over building alone.

  1. We invest in your build.

For accepted revenue partners, we fund the agreed build and share net app revenue 50/50. Your setup fee is $0.

  2. 21 days to store submission.

From agreed scope to store submission in 21 days. You share content and feedback; we design, build and test.

  3. Built by people who've done this before.

18 developers, led by Nicolò Manica. See PERFXT, published by Weclose Limited, on the App Store.

  4. Not a template.

Your app is designed around your content and your audience's daily use. One consolidated design revision is included.

  5. Your agreement, in writing.

Scope, ownership and commercial terms are agreed in writing before we start.

  6. We run it so you don't.

App support, content uploads, and the hosting and maintenance agreed for your option. You keep making content.

  7. We're selective.

Only a few new partnerships each month, because our team's time is the investment. We review your audience and idea before committing.

How it works

From application to App Store in 4 steps.

  1. 01A few minutes

    Apply.

Tell us about your audience, what you teach and what you'd like to build.

  2. 02Before the build

    Partnership call.

We review fit, agree scope, revenue terms and timeline. Everything in writing.

  3. 0321 days

    Build and test.

21 days from agreed scope to store submission. You share content and feedback; we design and build.

  4. 04After approval

    Launch to your audience.

Apple and Google review the submissions. Once approved, you introduce your app and we support it.

Only 3 partnership spots left this month.

Every no-setup-fee app is our own team's time, invested in your build and paid back only through revenue share. That's why we only take on a handful of new creators each month.

When these 3 spots are gone, the next opening is next month. Another creator could take the spot that was meant for you.

Before we build together

Good questions. Straight answers.

What's the catch?

We invest in selected apps and share their net revenue 50/50. Accepted revenue partners pay no setup fee; Weclose Limited hosts and owns the app. You bring the content and run the promotion. If you want to own the app instead, we offer a setup fee plus an agreed revenue share. We agree on the option and scope before starting.

Can I apply if I have a community instead of a big following?

Yes. We welcome creators and coaches in every niche. Tell us about your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube audience, or your email list, Telegram group, Discord community or WhatsApp channel. A smaller, engaged community can be a fit. You can apply with a content library, an existing offer or a rough idea.

Who owns the app, the code and the subscriber data?

With the no-setup-fee partnership, Weclose Limited hosts and owns the app. With the setup-fee option, you own the app. Code access, store accounts, subscriber data and handover arrangements are agreed in writing. Applying does not transfer ownership of your idea or content.

How is the 50/50 share calculated?

The no-setup-fee partnership shares net app revenue equally. We agree on the deductions, payout schedule, currency and reporting before you sign. The creator-owned option has its own setup fee and revenue-share agreement.

Will my app look like a template?

No. It's designed around your content and how your audience uses it. Your brand and vision shape the experience, from the first screen to the way people use the app each day.

Who designs my app? Can I make changes?

The Cofoundle team designs your app around your brand, content and vision. Share references and what matters to your audience. One consolidated round of design revisions is included before you approve the design for development.

How long does it take?

21 days from agreed scope to store submission. We agree on what we're building, then design, develop and test it with you. Apple and Google handle their own store reviews, so the date your app goes live depends on their approval.

What do I need to contribute?

Your expertise, content, brand materials and feedback. You test the app and run and fund its promotion to your audience. We handle the design, development and content uploads. You don't need to write code or arrive with a finished technical brief.

Who looks after the app after launch?

Our team handles customer support, refunds, chargebacks and content uploads. In the no-setup-fee partnership, we also host the app. We agree on maintenance, updates, store costs and any paid extras before work starts.

What does the earnings calculator show?

An example of what you could receive each month in the 50/50 partnership. Put in your audience size, choose a subscription price and imagine how many people join, then compare different possibilities for your audience.

What happens after I apply?

Our team reviews your audience and idea. If there's a fit, we discuss the app, responsibilities and partnership terms, then agree on the scope. Applying doesn't commit you to a build. A manager can submit a separate application for each creator.
